Designed by New-Zealander Chris Pittman in 1991. It is typical of the Montpellier hinterland, with a very technical layout, including doglegs and is a real thinking man’s course. It has a backdrop of the Garrigue scrubland.

It is a course which lends itself particularly well to be played again and again, with new strategies becoming apparent each time. The first 7 holes are reasonably complex : For example hole N° 4, a dogleg right of 340m on which it is necessary to clear 150m of Garrigue to put yourself in the ideal spot to attack a very raised green with steep slopes either side.

You will also appreciate hole N° 5, a par 5 of 480m where with its high tee, you get a great view of the opening holes. Hole N° 6, a very attractive yet fiercely defended par 3. Finally hole N° 9 another par 5 heading towards the clubhouse, with the white tee perched up amongst the pine trees, you will have a final chance on the front 9 to test your long game. The back 9 will give you equal challenges and pleasure with perhaps the two signature holes of 13 and 15 to come.

It is a course that tests even the very best golfer due to its technical layout yet it remains a very playable course for players of all levels.
